“How fast can we launch?” is the question we get most. The honest answer depends on one decision: whether you want a custom formula or a proven one.
The short answer
For a custom formula, plan for around three months end-to-end, so stability and packaging compatibility can be properly verified. Adapting a proven stock formula is the faster route and can move considerably quicker.
Anyone promising a custom supplement in three weeks is skipping something — usually the stability work that tells you whether the product survives a Malaysian supply chain.
Sampling: two to three weeks
We produce physical samples in about two to three weeks, then iterate with you on texture, taste, performance, scent and packaging.
Sampling is free, secured by a refundable RM250 per SKU deposit that is credited straight back against your first production order. Expect more than one round if you are chasing a specific taste.
Stability and packaging: around three months
A pilot batch is produced and put through stability and packaging-compatibility testing under controlled conditions before any scale-up. This is the stage founders most want to skip, and the one that protects them.
It answers whether your actives still assay correctly at month three, and whether the sachet or bottle you chose actually protects them.
Registration runs alongside, not after
NPRA notification for your MAL number is prepared while formulation work proceeds, so the two overlap rather than queue.
How long the regulator takes varies with the product and their workload — a complete, compliant dossier prepared up front is the best way to avoid avoidable delays.
What actually moves the date
Faster: adapting a proven base formula, choosing a stock pack, approving samples in one round, and having your company and brand assets ready before you brief.
Slower: novel actives, a custom flavour you keep revising, bespoke packaging with long tooling, and getting a quote before the company is even finalised. Speak to the manufacturer early so the timeline lines up.
